Day 239 - Lisa

Woohoo!  My favorite TV show of all time.  For the long winter months...

Day 239 - Sis

Concentrating on butterfly pictures and almost missed this dragonfly. Don't think I've seen a striped winged one before and made me think of one of those planes in WW1, you know, a Snoopy special for dogfighing with the Red Baron. ;-]

Day 238 - Lisa

I'm such a sucker for coin purses & bags!

Day 238 - Sis

Butterflies are bountiful and beautiful at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens but I've found they don't take instruction on posing very well. Spent a lot of time circling, bending, crouching to get a shot of them with their wings opened and displaying their colorful markings. Failed miserably.

Day 237 - Sis

I'm always struck by the beautiful simplicity of these when you see them in Asian art.

Day 237 - Lisa

Yesterday we went on the Canopy Walk @ the Atlanta Botanical Garden. It was HOT!  I'm pretty sure we'll be going back for the "Seed to Sweet" exhibit. ;>  Link is pictures of Canopy Walk:

Day 236 - Sis

Party at our apartment? I don't like tequila and we had to search all over to even find a liquor store to purchase this small bottle. It's just for a recipe I want to try! So, no party but looking forward to new meal.

Day 236 - Lisa

Remember this day for MLK's historic & important "I have a dream" speech, not the nonsense happening today in DC.

Day 235 - Sis

I scratch my head as to why a gate was recently installed on this property when a large segment of the fence is missing. I don't think it's because these weeds are free range and have anymore value than the others. Who knows?

Day 235 - Lisa

Entered a contest tonight.  Submit your artsy shots of New Orleans for a tourist website.  Good prizes!  Wish me luck.

Day 234 - Lisa

It was so hot & humid in New Orleans in June it blew out my LED screen.

Day 234 - Sis

Harley Davidson and GM car dealerships just outside our complex have both shut down in the past few months. Missed the sound of the bikes and feel sorry for the loss jobs.

Day 233 - Lisa

Made one of my ladies @ work who's expecting a baby blanket.  Her baby boy, Oliver, is due any day.  Having a shower for her tomorrow.

Day 233 - Sis

While my daughter spends so much time finding just the right color paper, etc., at her favorite hobby store I try to entertain myself. You can kill a lot of time scoping out the multiples shelves and walls of items that it's mind boggling. So I spot a display of what is catagorized as buttons. I see these cute little 1 inch "buttons" and think, oh no, apartment size Christmas decorations!

Day 232 - Sis

Pressure washing being done on the buildings and the workers are up and down on these ladders. A few years back I was going to hang Christmas lights on our home and borrowed a ladder much like this with the round rungs. Started climbing and was up about 5 rungs, backed down and gave the idea up, too darn scary.

Day 232 - Lisa

My godson turned 10 a few days ago!  Happy Birthday PapaHead!!

Day 231 - Sis

Yes, Lisa spends hours doing her scrapbooking and she also spent time when she began this project making a list of the sites we visited while in D.C. This is a list of 27 subjects I was asked,(required), to write about along with her own musings. The visit was in April and so those tons of pictures help me in remembering but I still have 13 to go!

Day 231 - Lisa

Guess what I did all day & night yesterday?

Day 230 - Sis

New puzzle and it may be a tough one with the various hues of brown, but the toughest part will be keeping sunii off of it.

Day 230 - Lisa

I need to focus on NYC, I have New Orleans on the brain.  It's going to be torture waiting till December.  Everything I see reminds of the Crescent City.  ;>

Day 229 - Lisa

My mom said the top lamp picture was ME!  We both liked the bottom lamp.  Showing our Bay Area hippie roots.

Day 229 - Sis

APB: Bananas in complex, two broke free, are on the loose and out there. Keep a lookout and approach with caution. Description- Length- 4-5 inches, dressed in all yellow with some black appliques. Way too many cop shows lately!

Day 228 - Lisa

Love this kitty!  I collect cats but I don't like "cute", I like different.

Day 228 - Sis

It's Friday night and I'm excited because game on tv is Giants/St Louis. It's the eighth inning with the Giants leading 6-2 with two outs. Meanwhile we are having a humungous thunder and lightning storm and the tv screen freezes. An hour later the screen is still frozen and Lisa lets me know final score is 6-3, Giants win. What is it with stormy Friday nights and Giants games?

Day 227 - Sis

I open this drawer for one of these useful utensils and it reminds me of the computer game where you have to find the list of items. You know the object is there but it can be a challenge to find it.

Day 227 - Lisa

I used to love doing the black velvet art and these type of coloring or painting crafts.  Ok, so I still do, whatEVA!

Day 226 - Lisa

Romper, Bomper, Stomper, Boo...adult version!

Day 226 - Sis

Even without taking drugs this is how my brain feels today. I know, some would say what's different about today?!

Day 225 - Sis

Next month New York, November home for Thanksgiving and December, Christmas in New Orleans. Excited, excited, excited!

If only!  If only it was real.

Day 224 - Lisa

Even though my godson drew this school yard masterpiece a year or so ago, it still brings a smile to my face when I look at it daily.

Day 224- Sis

I cannot deny finding myself feeling that childlike happiness when I find a penny on the ground. Some people believe it's a message from someone who has passed on, but for me, it reminds me of the days you could still buy something for a penny. Today that penny won't buy much but I'll leave it for another child to add to their dreams.

Day 223 - Sis

Don't know who produces these orange barriers but they must be doing alright by the amount I see here in this area. Seem to be on every road and corner.

Day 223 - Lisa

I'd rather read for pleasure but I also have to stay on top of my game.

Day 222 - Sis

Spotted this little model in it's designated parking place and checked it out. Not crazy about the color but probably in my price range and height looks perfect!

Day 222 - Lisa

Walked into this buggers web!

Friday, August 13, 2010

Day 221 - Sis

Once a week a stop at my place of many stories, the library. Works out perfectly for me to pick up a new read before going grocery shopping.

Day 221 - Lisa

Pudim de Arroz - thank you Mama!!

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Day 220 - Lisa

Some day my foot will be near my head too!

Day 220 - Sis

In my personal dictionary the definition of "self-cleaning" is-MYself cleaning. Definition of "easy cleaning" = Someone else is doing it.

Day 219 - Lisa

Missing Sammy girl.

Day 219 - Sis

So many great memories when I look at this stationery.
