After a week in NYC, I'll put our Bay Area institution Casper's Hot Dogs up against theirs or Chicago's. Growing up my Tia Chickie worked at the Casper's on C Street, she sometimes subbed at the Foothill Blvd location, both in Hayward and she worked the one in Dublin.  Used to love to go visit her with my Grandma Emily for lunch.  Got to play the juke box and eat a dog.  She used to bring us the 45's when they took them out of rotation which was always cool.

Day 278 - Sis

Since I'm in baseball mode and being on the bench waiting for the next game it reminded me of the NYC benches. Central Park, Battery Park, St. Patrick's Catheral and subway station. Obviously taken on days when weather wasn't good and they weren't being used.

Pretty much my weekend considering I got a bum knee and the Giants are in the play-offs.

Success! My Broadway bug bites were driving me crazy and tried anti-itch cream, baking soda and finally, relief from this little bottle, aaaahhh. No, no, I'm not drinking it, standard application only.

Today I celebrate my 24 year annivesary at my company.  Aye yi yi, I must be nuts.

In 1989 I was living in Chicago when the Giants beat the Cubs for NL pennant.  Now I'm in Atlanta where they are playing the Braves for a chance to battle for the NL pennant.  C'mon Gigantes!!!

Friday our last day and meanderings of a full schedule. Started in Central Park, proceeded to Grand Central Station, Saint Patrick's Cathedral,ending at the World Trade Center.

Thurday was another stormy day and we chose to stay in our cozy room. That evening we attended the showing of Wicked at the George Gershwin Theater. Great show and I left with more than I expected, bites from some type of bug. Bedbugs with musical leanings, I don't know, but I am still itching from these unwanted souvenirs!
