Car owners in California only wish they had $17 smog checks. LOL!
My mom (Sis) and I (Lisa) have challenged ourselves to each take a picture a day in 2010 starting January 4th. We will write journal style what inspires us to take the shots we do each day; along with anything else on our minds throughout the year. We are recently relocated from Northern California to the Atlanta, GA area. We hope you find our project interesting and maybe a bit entertaining. ;>

Day 154 - Sis
Driving around this time of the year everything's so bright with different hues of green and homes look like they are sitting in private parks. Outstanding.

Day 153 - Sis
Here in this area I've seen many different customs that I think are pretty special and this is one of them. Signs outside homes proudly displaying the recent High School graduates names and what colleges they will be attending.

Day 152 - Lisa
The boom of new homes reached its peak in our area several years ago. Homes sitting right on top of each other. It's vastly different than the more established neighborhoods we preferred to spacious yards with lots of room between homes. Sadly, there are now half built communities every where. Overgrown developments with empty lots or a few homes and nothing else. People bought houses with promises of community centers, schools, parks and are now left living across the street from exposed pipes and wiring covered with weeds.

Day 152 - Sis
Went looking for tops that would be light and cool for our trip to New Orleans, this is what I bought. Sigh.

Day 151 - Sis
Would like to have some Superway Kitchen Chinese food to put this sauce on. This restaurant is in Hayward Ca., my hometown, and first opened over 50 years ago. Sitting between a liquor store, small parking lot which is next to a railroad crossing on a busy street. No foo foo dining, just some of the best tasting food that my family has enjoyed over those 50 years.

Day 150 - Sis
Lisa said I can't lug around Big Bertha so had to buy new size luggage. New purse to put the phone, camera, ipod, wallet, etc. to save another arm injury. New umbrella because weather in the South is likely to include some rain and of course this produced a new bank balance.
Day 150 - Lisa
Gearing up for my next trip, new luggage. I done plumb wore out my last bag over the past two years.

Day 149 - Lisa
sunii jumped on bed, hit camera, inadvertently took picture. She probably got excited; thought it was Sheedy from the Breakfast Club 30 hard years later.

Day 148 - Sis
Seems that saying , "there is no i in team" does not apply to, "we", where there are two, depending on your game, eh.

Day 147 - Sis
All the latest rain and thunder thunderstorms here lately have brought us many vibrant colors in our own little part of Georgia.

Day 146 - Lisa
So far we have collected with our Coke Reward points: 3 pairs of Coke flip flops, a weekend at the Asilomar in Monterey, a key chain and movie tickets. All this proves is we drink way way way too much Coke. ;> Although in fairness to us we did have a Coke machine in the backyard that all our friends and family enjoyed.
