Day 274 - Lisa
In 1989 I was living in Chicago when the Giants beat the Cubs for NL pennant. Now I'm in Atlanta where they are playing the Braves for a chance to battle for the NL pennant. C'mon Gigantes!!!

Friday our last day and meanderings of a full schedule. Started in Central Park, proceeded to Grand Central Station, Saint Patrick's Cathedral,ending at the World Trade Center.

Day 270 - Sis
Thurday was another stormy day and we chose to stay in our cozy room. That evening we attended the showing of Wicked at the George Gershwin Theater. Great show and I left with more than I expected, bites from some type of bug. Bedbugs with musical leanings, I don't know, but I am still itching from these unwanted souvenirs!

Day 269 - Sis
We finally caved and hired a taxi after the Letterman show. With the ride we, of course, engaged in conversation with the driver. Besides hearing his story of why he drives we were informed that a great percentage of NYC drivers of cabs don't know what they are doing or where they are going. All I know is there are a ton of cabs and they seem to run in packs.

Day 268 -Sis
Started the day with no expectations except to buy souvenirs from the Hello Deli and tour the Top of the Rock,(Rockefeller Bldg.). Fortunately by chance scored tickets to the David Letterman Show and quite a list of instructions from his staff; they were funny and very cordial though.

Spent time and had lunch in Macy's and that night attended the, In the Heights, play. Had dinner at Juniors in the theater district. Very enjoyable day, evening and grub.

On the bus and night skyline cruise. Bus tour guide was a bit full of herself, night cruise guy was just as bad. Neither were as witty as they thought. Between these two events we walked through Times Square.

Day 263 - Lisa
No sunii on her post tonight. She's at the Kitty Kondo Kennel. ;< I always feel SO bad. Home feels weird without her. Ugh - good thing I didn't have kids.

Guess it came to wish me a great trip. To it I returned the sentiment for a final trip. Heh,heh,heh! Oh this time I used bug spray not Resolve, although Resolve did live up to it's name.

Day 262 - Sis
I haven't eaten white bread in quite some time but we had take out ribs dinner last night and they serve the white bread with it. I found another use for it, breakfast of pb&j sandwich with coffee. Taste was great but had to hold my breath each time I raised it to my mouth. It seems that white bread absorbs the smell of barbecued ribs and my brain became very confused with the taste of one thing and the odor of another.

Day 260 - Sis
Lisa brought home this slim wallet for me for the trip to NYC. Very nice, it doesn't bulk up the purse I hate to carry. I appreciate it, honest, but isn't it traditional when you give a purse or wallet to stuff it to bulkiness with those green bills?!
